Update #16: Community Supported Pops!
Ahhh, summer... those long, hot days where free-roving bands of children clamor for sweet frozen treats...
WE INTERRUPT THIS EMAIL FOR A VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Hey, grownups! Do you know what's in that stuff?!? Corn syrup, food dyes, preservatives, flavor chemicals... but no longer!
Little Bee Pops is ready to bring *HEALTHY* summer treats to your freezer with Silicon Valley's first-ever Community Supported Popsicles!
WHAT THE FRAK ARE COMMUNITY SUPPORTED POPSICLES?
We're so glad you asked!

Every week, you can pick up a package of our super-yummy, super-healthy super-pops at one of our drop-off locations:
- Full Circle Farm in Sunnyvale on Fridays
- Downtown Mountain View on Sundays
Need a different location? If you want *your* house or workplace to be a drop-off location, all you have to do is get 4 of your friends/co-workers/arch-nemeses to join forces with you (i.e. 5 subscriptions total gets a brand-new, custom drop-off point) and we'll bring the pops directly to you!
Our healthy farm-fresh pops, in your freezer, all summer long? WHAT COULD BE BETTER? Nothing, we think.
Plus, you support us - a woman-owned, super-small new business committed to making childhood both healthy AND awesome!
WHAT DO I GET?
You can choose to receive either 6 or 12 pops per week, plus your own Little Bee Pops freezer tote.
Flavors vary by what's in season, and you can choose the following three options:
- Seasonal Assortment (even amounts of each flavor, available for 6 or 12)
- All Strawberry Avengers (our classic strawberry-lemonade, available for 6 or 12)
- Half Strawberry Avengers, Half Seasonal Assortment (available for 12 only)
HOW MUCH?
Shares run for 12 weeks, and totals are:
- $162 for a 6-pop share
- $324 for a 12-pop share
Also, because we're cool like that - take up to 2 weeks vacation, and we will subtract those weeks from your total!
FYI - that's $2.25 a pop, compared to $3/each in stores or two for $5 at our cart! You can pay via check at your first pick-up, or with credit card via Google Checkout (a 3% processing fee will be added).
WHY SUBSCRIBE TO COMMUNITY SUPPORTED POPS?
Well, because we're awesome:
- We source all of our produce and honey from small, sustainable farms located from within 150 miles of the Bay Area
- Our pops contain just fresh fruits (and sometimes, veggies!), a dash of healthy fats, and raw honey...they're good for you, but they don't taste like it!
- They're a great alternative to the scary traditional ice-cream cart pops all those yucky, chemical, unpronounceable ingredients
- Our pops are handmade with love!
Also, because it allows us to:
- Support small, local farms by buying their produce
- Help you feel great saying "YES" to a treat
- Build a wonderful, committed customer base that will allow our ultra-small business grow organically -- i.e. we are supported primarily by you, our community!
Just click here and fill out the super-simple form: http://www.littlebeepops.com/CSP
And, oh yeah -- please feel free to forward this info far and wide to any interested parties. We love parties!

Update #12: Rewards are a-comin'!
Dear Awesome & Super-Patient Backers,
Your rewards are soooooooo close to getting here, we can hardly wait to stuff envelopes (seriously!). Unless something goes terribly wrong with the postal service, you $10 and $25 backers should have your rewards by this Saturday, April 21st. Once you have free pop tokens in your hot little hands, feel free to come on down to our next locations and claim your free pops!
We're just ramping up our production - so selling out is likely. Come early to avoid disappointment. Also - check our website for current flavors. If you've got your heart set on a Cherry Bomb - wait until mid-May when cherries are in season!
If you are a $100 and up backer, check your email! We are not yet at the capacity to fill 12-pop orders, so we're asking you to fill out an order form and come individually. On your pickup day, we'll have your pops there waiting for you in your Periodic Table of Awesome tote.
As Always -- Thank You, Thank You Thank You!
Warmly,
Liz, Lilia, Melissa & Little Bee

Farm-starter, food activist, popsicle maven!
In 2007, I founded Full Circle Farm (www.fullcirclesunnyvale.org), an 11-acre organic, educational farm on public school land. I've also done some other cool stuff since then, like helping start a 150-member CSA for low-income families and opening an all-outdoor nature awareness school. I have a fancy-pants degree from Oxford University, but I got my real smarts from my hippy parents and some radically awesome mentors at San Jose State.
A few things I love: my daughter, my family, Star Trek, small sustainable farms, redwood trees, baking pies, growing food, and my awesomely geeky hometown.

Y'all need to get a contract with the WHOLE FOODS & Kroger (they have a health section w/freezers&friges now) stores. Would love to be able to just pick up when I'm at the grocery.
