Two years ago, Steve called Ted and told him that he wanted to record a ZEBU! surf record. Now more than three years later, Steve continues his electroshock therapy while Ted tries to figure out what to do with this brilliant record. BUT FEAR NOT. We are not the Beach Boys, and instead of letting the record fade into obscurity, we are proud to present the belated and most anticipated release of "Chill Wave". ZEBU!'s inevitable take on the surf genre.
This kickstarter is a bit of a pre-order/fundraiser. Two years of recording and mixing and mastering made this record our most expensive yet, and we are hoping to raise some funds from this to help cover the cost of pressing the record. If you pre-order, you will get the record a week before it release date, and additional ZEBU! related things. If you give anything, you will get a copy of our unreleased cassette split with SAVANT. This tape features some of the best of heavy psychedelic ZEBU! We would love your support, and we are so happy to be able to share our music with you.
We are thrilled that many special guests were able to join us on this record. Special guests include: Peter Van Siclen, Laura Stevenson, Stephen "Stegro" Walker Surrett, Jonathan Granoff.
