One year ago, I was right in the middle of our Kickstarter fund-raiser and had no idea what the future would bring. But as I look back on it all, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Winning the fund-raiser was a great victory, but it was immediately followed by a three-week crash program to build the Triple Screen Flight Simulator and film every step in the process. Then we transported the flight sim and unveiled it at the Kansas City Maker Faire where hundreds of kids and adults got to try it out and enjoy it. After the Faire, we set it up at the National Airline History Museum where the guests are still flying it today. At the end of June, 2011 I felt like I was on top of the world!
I'm very grateful for the help you all gave me. Thank you once again.
We will return to the KC Maker Faire again this year with a new and unique flight simulator. It is small and mobile and it's called the DIY Roll-Away Flight Simulator. You can see a short 2 min. clip of it in action here:
We also designed a modified keyboard to be used for flying helicopters and used it in a few training videos for the Robinson R22 helicopter. See one of them here: Robinson R22 Startup Checklist
I've already started on the next project and I encourage to you like Roger Dodger Aviation on Facebook or subscribe on YouTube so you can see when I post upcoming news, pictures, or videos.
Hope you're all doing well !
