The CD Woodbury Band wants to capture their unique blend of high energy blues, jazz, roots, and jam in the studio for their new CD.

What: A CD recording of original music (and maybe a choice cover or two) by Seattle area's CD Woodbury Band. While we are known as a blues band, we have material that pays tribute to a wide variety of roots music and has crossover appeal to fans of "jam bands".
Who: CD Woodbury is a two time winner of the Washington Blues Society's Electric Guitar B.B. Award and has performed Jimi's music for the Hendrix family. Prior to forming his own band, his two previous gigs were for Grammy nominee Mark DuFresne and NW favorite (and current member of Too Slim and the Taildraggers) Polly O'Keary. His band consists of former members of NW and international favorites, Tim Casey and the Bluescats: Chris Kleimann, Don Montana, and Mike Fish; and sax ace Mike Marinig.
The band's most recent accomplishment has been having their music played weekly on the Danny Bonaduce and Sarah Show on KZOK 102.5 FM Seattle.
Why: We have been writing music over the past two years, including some favorites from our live set and several songs not yet performed live. We want you to hear and enjoy them and having a recording helps us promote to a higher level and better recognition.
The CD Woodbury Band wants to make their long anticipated Studio Recording!
The CD Woodbury Band keeps making new fans and traveling new roads, but the one thing that we need to reach a larger audience is a studio recording. We have been writing original music and we continue performing, and our CD "Sunbanks Live" has been played on a few independent blues radio shows from Seattle to New York, but there are a lot of doors that we won't be able to open without a new recording. We have great fans, talent, and perseverance but unfortunately like many musicians we lack large sums of money that make quality recordings happen.
We are writing great songs, a few of which are already part of our regular set and getting great response. The new songs have elements of old school funk, Mississippi Hill Country, New Orleans, Chicago, modern, and acoustic blues. We have choices of several good studios in the Puget Sound area that are within this reasonable budget and that we've gotten great results in the past with.
Our released Live CD was our first gig with Mike Marinig. We've been going non-stop for 2 years since then and we just keep getting better.
