About this project
Hello friends!
Hurrah! A Bolt of Light! is releasing a new album entitled, "HELLO" and we need your help!
There are a lot of great things about being an independent artist, namely, total creative control! We are in the captains chair during the entire process. From Writing to Tracking to Recording to Mixing/Mastering to Art Design we are able to shape the vision that is Hurrah! Unfortunately, there is a downside to all this freedom.
Money.
We don't have 2,600 of it. We don't have any record labels to give us advances or publishing deals as of yet.
That's where Kickstarter and you guys come in!
Mainly we're just trying to be able to pay for the distribution costs of putting an album out and pay off our friendly neighborhood recording studio.
We've set up a whole lot of great rewards for ya'll that run the gamut from personalized postcards to a private show at your home.
The video has a few great incentives but we will be constantly adding more as the funding continues!
One of the great incentives has to do with the art design for the album. Simply put, the album art will consist of thumbnail pictures of the band and other people giving their best hello face!
Kinda Like this:
That's Wil, he sings and plays guitar, giving his best (or worst) hello face.
This multiple thumbnail design will cover the front, back and insides of the cd. It could be as little as 5 pictures across and down for the front cover or it could be many, many more depending on how many backers we get!
Those "other" people we just mentioned are those who fund the project at 75 dollars or the levels above that. We hope this will be a great way to get people involved in the actual project and be a part of it forever as well!

Everything from the $150 reward and we'll send you any two acoustic renditions of songs off the album of your choosing.

Everything from the $250 reward plus we will come to your house and play a private show for you and whoever you like. Sorry, you have to live in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey general tri-state area. We will talk about when so everyone's schedules will line up. Email us with any questions!

Everything from the $500 reward plus a four course dinner prepared by us for you and one other! We're really good cooks we swear! We make great conversation and will even bring the booze!

Everything listed before. Really, everything! Plus you will get to make a special dedication printed on the album (nothing hateful or offensive, duh!) and be named the Executive Producer!
Pledge $2,500 or more
Everything listed before except the $1000 prize. We will write and record a song based on anything non-hateful or offensive you want. Pretty much anything you want! It will be a full band recording, it will sound really, really good and be a great song. We promise. You can choose to let us release it or just keep it for yourself. It's up to you!
