Ever wonder the battles and success's missionaries in Haiti, Kenya, Uganda and Taiwan have had and experienced? Check out this doc!
All too often in today's world, especially in these hard times we often forget about those overseas taking care of the least of those. From feeding, caring for, clothing the needy and taking care of their physical needs as well as spreading the word and love of Christ. Missionaries truly see some of the greatest challenges and battles that this world has to offer yet they also see some of the greatest successes and achievements that humanity has to offer. I have now devoted myself to telling some of their stories.
I have a background in audio mastering and video production. I also served several years in the US Army and have been a world traveler as well as a missionary myself.
I will depart from my home in Johnson City, Tn on July 15 and will fly to Haiti where i will profile a mission there and the trials and successes that they have had there, i will be there for 5 days. I will then travel from there to kenya and profile a local mission in rural kenya as well as a budding church after 4 days on location there i will then travel to Uganda by bus and meet and profile a mission there as well as tell the story of its founder and the several satellite programs they have there and their interactions with the LRA for 4 more days. Finally i will fly to Taiwan and profile a new missionary there as he becomes integrated into the community as well as the local groups that he will be aiding and that will be aiding him as he starts his mission. I will be in Taiwan for 5 days then return to the US and begin editing and production processes.
I felt a calling to bring these stories to light when I stepped out of my role in youth ministry in my church to try and share the light where there is dark. My hope is this documentary will motivate and inform people about the continued need for foreign mission work no matter how hard things are at home. My goal is to also bring to the forefront the amazing individuals that are his hands and feet and give them the recognition that they deserve.
