A comedy about a passionate filmmaker who, unbeknownst to his fiancee, spends the wedding money on his film.
I remember reading stories about how Spielberg had to sneak onto the Universal Studio's lot and occupy a vacant office pretending to work there in order to make necessary industry contacts. Robert Rodriguez supposedly selling his blood to help finance his break-through feature "El Mariachi". We rarely hear about the hell successful filmmakers had to go through (and continue to go through) in order to realize their dreams.
After experiencing my own humbling trials; I realized there's a great story with enormous comedic potential in this common pain. I'm embarrassed to admit that Filmmakers Anonymous is based on a true story. The plot, a super passionate filmmaker goes behind his fiancée’s back spending the wedding money to finance his film. It's a story about love, betrayal, relentless dream chasing and the thin line between being a passionate artist and an addict. Now, I said it was based on a true story, but not necessarily my own. I've been happily married for 16 years (we married young), I thank GOD for giving me an angel who’s willing to put up with my crap. It ain't easy living with an obsessive artist, I get on my own nerves sometimes.
