Well, this is good news which means we do not have to have a special voltage divider for the iPad 4. I put a colleagues 4 on the C3 two weeks ago, it was ok.
If happens again, it is likely a solder joint or a loose pin on the Molex connector. Easy to fix.

I am also having an issue with my device charging my iPad. My iPhone will charge on front, back, and USB input. My iPad does not charge on any of them

Does the bay that does "not" charge your iPad, "charge" any other device iPod/ iPhone 4. If id does not charge then it is the connector - easy to replace. If it does charge another iDevice then it is the fit of your iPad, Tell me what iPad it is and if you are using a case. I will make the distance on the connector greater to accommodate it.

No, it will not charge an ipad, I tried to use my charging cable in the usb port on the side of the unit and no go. That same charging cord will charge my iphone and all of the charging stations will charge my iphone. None will charge my 3rd Gen ipad.

If the blue LED's are flashing it just that your iPad is not "seating on the 30 pin connector. Lift it up and put it back down a couple of times until you hear the "chirp" or see the lighting bolt. The pins on the docking connector are tiny.

So, I have my unit and the ipad is not charging but the iphone is, both blue lights are flashing blue but the battery icon on the ipad says "not charging".

Hi Dan,
The C3 has a
1. USB hub inside you can sync all your devices and also plug your camera into the USB side port and download straight to your host library. Then you can put the docs, pics music to any device that is plugged into the C3. i.e. take your pic directly off your phone, edit them, put them on your iPad.
2. The USB on the side is a Universal charging and syncing port. If you have a Kindle or Android or anything that can charge with USB, the side dock is available.
3. The plugs are interchangeable. If you ( and you have) want a iPhone 5, a iPad 2, you can change the plug tip.
The power supplies arrived this afternoon. Shipping Monday..
Good to know about the Extreme Mac - as a charging station it looks good.

The bare boards were started yesterday. The scheduled ETA is Sept 25. However, they have a chance of being here a little sooner. Once the boards arrive, components will be "stuffed". There are 113 components that go onto the board. Inventory of the Bill of Material will be completed by Friday and the balance ordered. If I can get a few boards done, the following week the iC3 will be shown at PCB West exhibition (www.pcbwest.com) in the booth of the board fabricator Imagineering. We are getting close.

Hello all,
All my attention the last 3 weeks has been on the redesign of the circuit board. It is complete and looks simple. Why did it take so long I ask? Well, there is an art to component placement, routing. It is the pattern from which all is built.
The 3 bay circuit board is now out to be fabricated. 5 boards will be back late next week. The next step is to stuff them with components to verify that they work. If there is anything that needs fixing it can be done before making 100. While I don't see any problems, making a few prototype boards is the safe route.
The third bay is USB-A plug on the left side of the charger. It is set up for charging a third Apple device. I am testing it with an Android phone this afternoon.
The enclosures are completed and waiting for the circuit boards.
The iC3 was designed to sit on your desktop. A couple of you wanted a protective travel cover. One fellow is taking the iC3 to Africa, another to the Solomon Islands, I started making the form over which a vacuum will and heat create the cover. First, oneCAD's up the shape, then the ShopBot will make it for you out of MDF material.
Looking at production the 2nd week of September.

This charger will work with an iPad 3 with a Smart Cover on it, right? I was disappointed to find that Apple's own iPad dock doesn't work too well with a Smart Cover on.
