From it's conception, hip hop has been taking the world by storm thanks to the founding fathers and the superstars of today. But New York has always been the true home of hip hop. Giving birth to some of the biggest commercial stars in history lastly being Jay-Z (respectfully). This leaves us the question of "who's next?". This documentary will give you a glimpse of what's to come in the world of hip hop and will allow you to start becoming a fan again, not a consumer. This dvd will showcase talent, not product, raw, not commercial music. You'll get to hear from the artists themselves along with some of todays commercial artists as they explain the difference of commercial hip hop and raw hip hop. You will also get a front row seat to the hottest underground showcase Nyc has to offer (and some of these artists are not even from here). With your help we can put this project out for the world to see and give the people a chance to own their music culture again and give fans a chance to fall in love with the genre again. I am seeking your help on this project because it is needed. Too much ignorance has been broadcasted over the airwaves and Hip Hop is a much more beautiful culture than what is being portrayed.
