Update #2: What you really want to know...
So it's been a trying, busy, and totally eventful past three weeks since we launched funding for "Twilight w/ Steve Cooper" - we've raised nearly half of our goal, met countless interested people and laid the groundwork for what we hope will become a staple in the late night tv community.
As for fundraising, great job thus far everyone! I'm still in shock that we've gotten so far but hopeful we can take it further and reach our goal of $3000. Thank you.
For those of you who've asked Jeremy over and over again "What's the premise of the show? It sounds like any other late night TV show...How can you pitch yourself as "something different"?" Here's how. I wanted to keep it a secret until the launch of the show, but I suppose it's fine to just tell you now...if it inspires you to pledge, well, that's great.
So as Jeremy says in the video, on "Twilight" we interview people you've heard of, but never heard from. Rather vague. Who are these people? Most are historical figures, some are just made up and others are just plain weirdos. Steve will sit down with the likes of William Shakespeare, Adam & Eve, God, and Trent Da Vinci (Leonardo's inept son) and ask them pertinent questions about their lives with varying, hilarious results.
That's the idea. A fake late night show. While we wanted to keep it secret a bit longer, the fact of the matter is, too many people knew, and those who didn't just thought that the show was some lame excuse for a Letterman knock-off. And besides, you would have found out anyway. The idea isn't what will keep you watching. The content will.
So now that you know all about the show, let's have some more pledges, even more interest and as many ideas for guests as you'd like!
Thanks,
Steve & Jeremy
Update #1: A quarter of the way there!
So here we are, folks. Two weeks into this thing, and we're a quarter of the way there. That's great, and I thank you for your support, but we still have a ways to go. Since the launching of this project, we've had the pleasure of bringing on an excellent director/show runner into the fold. His name is Tim Young, and he's a genius. That's a requirement to work for the show, by the way, being a genius. "Twilight w/ Steve Cooper" is run entirely by geniuses, and that will make for a truly remarkable & interesting show. If you think you fit that generalized and egotistical description, let us know, and maybe we'll bring you on board.
Also since the launch, we've sparked considerable interest in the show, with our site www.imstevecooper.com getting nearly 2,000 hits in the first week. Incredible, but not hard to believe. People are dying for a change in late night, and Steve's gonna give it to em.
And on the subject of content, because we've all been asked countless times "Well how is the show going to be different?" or "What makes it so great?", well, here it is. Initially, we wanted to keep the premise secret until the first episode aired, but that method seems to be confusing people into thinking that this is just like any other late night show, only we brag about being different. No. "Twilight" is an entirely different bird. Instead of celebrities - well, not instead of, just not "living" celebrities, so to speak - we're bringing on historical figures, footnote people throughout history and downright weirdos onto the program. Some of our planned guests: Icarus, Adam & Eve, Helen Keller.
I feel cleansed but also a bit dirty for telling you that. But now you know, and now you can pledge with the distinction of knowing one of the universes previously most well kept secrets.

Funding Successful
This project successfully raised its funding goal on November 1, 2009.
Pledge $10 or more Pledge $10 or more
For a measly $10, you'll get a special thanks on the website, PLUS you'll get an exclusive first look at some of the footage from "Twilight". You could easily sell this footage to US Weekly for upwards of $30, so think about it.
Pledge $20 or more Pledge $20 or more
Now we're talking. If you pledge $20 towards "Twilight", I'll not only give you a thanks and some first-look footage, but you'll get a ticket to the first live taping of "Twilight" - which promises to be an epic event in TV history.
Pledge $50 or more Pledge $50 or more
For $50, you'll get everything above, plus a sweet, signed, limited edition "Twilight w/ Steve Cooper" publicity poster. These things are going to be all over the subway, the streets, and the bodies of homeless people soon, but alas, you can't get one unless you pledge and/or eat pigeon meat/sleep on a grate.
Pledge $100 or more Pledge $100 or more
What's $100 amongst friends? Because that's what we are now. For $100, you'll get all of everything listed above, PLUS, Steve will make a guest appearance at any public or private function of your choice. That means retirement communities, sex parties, you name it. He'll be there. And that'll make you guys friends. Letterman never offered that.
Pledge $250 or more Pledge $250 or more
Can you put a value on creation? No, you can't. But we're going to say its $250, just for fun. And for that, you'll get to be an executive producer on the show, which means you'll be invited to all of the tapings, plus get everything above, AND you might even get some kind of say in what happens on the show. Provided it doesn't involve vampires or Zac Efron.
Pledge $500 or more Pledge $500 or more
Now we're talking. If you're badass enough to pledge $500, then Steve will bring you on and tape an interview just with you that'll air on the site. You guys can talk about whatever you like: pygmies, organic cantaloupe, whatever you want. (And you'll get everything else, too!) So if you're an aspiring actor, wannabe celeb or just really get off on the idea of being asked questions that are totally about you, then go ahead, do it.
