Dave and Dave have been working on projects together for almost two decades. Dave Petrillo has a BS in ME from Lehigh and has worked at Lutron for 3 years. Dave Jackson has a BS from Rutgers and an MS from Stanford, both in ME, and is currently inventing and snowboarding in Lake Tahoe.
I have not received my very first order as a backer. Have left a couple of msgs and emailed support@joulies.com as well. What was promised as a 12 week delivery has now takn a year, and still nothing.
Please let me know when I can receive my Joulies. I am here in South Korea, eagerly looking forward.
Hey Kickstarter backers!! For anyone who hasn't received their Joulies one of two things has happened:
1. Your Joulies got lost in the mail. Email us at support@joulies.com and we'll send out another set.
2. You never filled out your shipping address survey so we had no address to ship to. Email us at support@joulies.com with your full name, email address you used on Kickstarter, and shipping address and we'll send your Joulies out.

Kathleen - Your set shipped on 10/11 to Doha, Qatar. Once it leaves the country we can't really track it. I don't know what customs are like in Qatar, but there is a chance it's still on it's way to you. If it never arrives we can try to send another one with a different shipping method. Let us know.
Mark - Sorry about the smell, it's not chemical or toxic or anything, just the natural smell of Jute fibers. We have heard that a few people don't like it and are looking into a replacement that is less smelly. The smell dissipates if you leave the bags out of wash them gently.

Hey guys... CSP came in... The Joulies look great.
However... the first thing I noticed opening a box was the incredibly noxious smell that apparently was coming from the jute bag.
Certainly doesn't smell like something safe to store the Joulies in.
I'd recommend that you check into a different supplier for the jute bags or have the fabric washed enough to remove the noxious smell.

@Bob and Raymond - all packages are going out USPS first class mail or Priority mail. We have seen transit times all across the board for international packages. Nothing 5 weeks though.

I got my joulies!! Thanks guys! Totally worth the wait. From my observation, Tim Hortons double double in a 16 oz thermos you just need 3-4 joulies. Same with Starbucks if you add cream. It brings the temp down to an almost immediate comfortable drinking level.
But from a boiling pot to french press 4 mins brewing time w/cream all 5 is needed.

This may be a weird comment to leave....but I was an early backer, and recently asked for a refund because my coffee joulies did not perform as advertised. I received my refund today and sincerely thank Dave & Dave. Although the product did not work I still feel like this was a valuable experience for me (they may feel differently since they had to send my $40 back). I love Kickstarter, and I think this is the sincerest way for vendors and customers to interact. Thank you.

I have not received my coffee Joulies yet. I backed the project in April. And now it's available for public and you haven't even shipped mine yet?
I've been using these Joulies for about 2 weeks now. I'm sold. They really work. I was coming at it from a "these probably won't work" angle, but they do. I've come back to my desk and found to my amazement, the coffee is still at a good temp. I'm using an insulated capped, cup, with three joulies, so it's under pretty good conditions already. The joulies extend just enough for me to finish. And heck, that's exactly what I need.
