Gratitude
The sun is shining, but it is a little misty this morning in Colorado. With laptop propped up on sandstone, steaming mugs of coffee or tea in hand, we read out the names of our backers. Facing the direction of their location we waved and said "Thank you!". We grouped names by state, so we wouldn't get dizzy.
32 states represented. 4 countries besides ours, Australia, Austria, Canada, and Scotland, were thanked a bit louder than the rest so you can hear us. Cars passing by thought we were waving at them. The neighbors up the hill probably thought (still think) we are nuts.
So, Thanks. Whether you are a friend, family or stranger, there is now that little thread of connection. Of community.
For those considering doing a Kickstarter project, do it. They are lots of hard work but lots of fun.

As you can see from the pics below, we are busily packaging up your Reward swag. The first two bins are stamped and ready to be picked up by our mailman tomorrow.
So, tomorrow (Wednesday, October 10th) at 10am MST, we will be out on the front porch sending our thank-yous to our backers. If you are quiet and still, you might even hear us. :-)
If you don't get your swag in a few days, don't be concerned. Curtis is still busy making the Statement Necklaces, and there is a bit of a delay with some of the Historic Rosette pieces.

two things...
I know I just sent out an update yesterday. I don't mean to spam y'all, but I have two more things to tell you.
Firstly, on October 13-14 we will be part of the Loveland Art Studio Tour! If you are anywhere near Loveland, Colorado, be sure to come visit. We will have snacks, demonstrations and jewelry for sale (just in time for Christmas!). You can see where the magic happens! Also, your Kickstarter Reward will probably be ready by then. If you'd rather pick it up in person at the Studio Tour, please email me to let me know so we don't mail it out with the rest. IldanachOffice@aol.com.
Secondly, Curtis is famous! This morning, the Loveland Reporter-Herald published a story about sand casting, which is the method we use to make our Pressblech masters. Here's the link:

New Press!!
We ordered the 20-ton press, and it came in last week! By the pictures (thanks, Sheron!), you can see that Curtis and I were like kids on Christmas morning. There were a few moments of consternation and feeling like monkeys staring at a monolith until we discovered we were missing one piece.
The new press should be on its new stand by this afternoon and then we get to play! Then we get to work on your Rewards!
