We've launched an exciting new project of our own! Introducing the Kickstarter app for iPhone!

Funded! This project successfully raised its funding goal on September 6, 2012.

I went to Philadelphia to find out if The 99% Declaration could take the ideas of OccupyWallSt. and make change from within the system.

THANK YOU!!!

Incredibly, in just 24 hours, this project reached its initial funding
goal! I'm so thankful for the support! I am now able to pay for the
pre-production for this project.

As I mention in the video, the total costs for this mini-doc actually exceed $2000, so I'm adding the following additional funding goals:

STRETCH GOAL #1: $1500 ****ACHIEVED!****

Additional funds will go to paying for the costs incurred during the actual production of this mini-doc.

NEW! Because this stretch goal has been met, $50 level contributors can receive a DVD copy of the mini-doc (if they want one)!

STRETCH GOAL #2: $2000

If the project gets funded past $1500, any additional funds will go
towards the post-production costs that I have yet to incur to finish
up the mini-doc.

NEW! If we meet Stretch Goal #2, $10 level contributors will receive a DVD copy of the mini-doc!

NEW! Extra bonus: If we meet Stretch Goal #2, I will provide a private link to the video 1 day before I release it to the world for anyone who contributes at least $1!

STRETCH GOAL #3: $4000

I want to continue covering this story. Additional funds will support pre-production on a feature length documentary of this story.

NEW! If we meet Stretch Goal #3, $3 level contributors will receive a DVD copy of the mini-doc!

NEW! If we meet Stretch Goal #3, I will post a private link to the rough cut of the mini-doc for those who contribute $50 or more!

STRETCH GOAL #4: $7000

If we meet this goal, the additional funds will be used for the production of a theatrical length doc.

NEW! If we meet Stretch Goal #4, the first 100 $1 backers will get a DVD!

NEW! If we meet Stretch Goal #4, I will post a private link to the rough cut of the mini-doc for all contributors!

And now, the story:

In early 2012, a group called the 99% Declaration, created an event called the Continental Congress 2.0 in Philadelphia, PA, from July 2 to July 4 2012, to write a declaration of grievances, based on the work of Occupy Wall St.

This group planned to gather delegates from across the U.S. and bring them together to write, vote, and ratify this declaration. Who would participate? Would they succeed? And what might come of this?

I made it my goal to find out.

What did I discover? Well, you'll have to see the documentary to find out, but I can say that not everything went according to plan. Can an imperfect system produce a solution?

I went to Philadelphia as a delegate. I gathered footage of the general proceedings, and did a number of interviews that make up this mini-doc, which will be approximately 15-40 minutes long.

The resulting documentary will be made available for free on YouTube.

This Kickstarter will pay for my production costs. This includes all the hard costs of pre-production ($600), production ($900) and post-production ($500).

The 99% Declaration movement's job isn't done - the declaration must be submitted to Congress, and they intend to sue the government if the grievances are not resolved. If this Kickstarter is successful, it will also allow me to plan to attend other events along the way to document the progress of what may be an historical action in U.S. history.

Whether we succeed or fail, this story promises to be one worth telling. Please help me to tell it.

Thank you for taking time to review this campaign, and for considering making a contribution.
