SoulChorea is an independent record label still in its infancy, run by J Barber and Adam Carpenter. J Barber's debut soul album (also our label's first), entitled "All In Due Time", is finally close to completion, after years and years of hard work and planning! We’re done writing most of the songs, and have even begun recording at The Bridge Sound and Stage Studios in Cambridge, MA. Everything’s going great; however, we're approaching a brick wall. We’re running out of funds (about $2000 short) and much work still remains!
We want our fans’ experience to be magical, from the first time you open our CD or vinyl record, to the last second of the last song on the album. This is where you can help! By contributing to our project, you can help us bring our sound (and our overall image) to the next level. Behind the scenes, this requires professional graphic designers, photographers, producers, mixing/mastering engineers, and distributors.
By making a donation, you not only become a part of our first album but you also will receive the great bonuses you see listed along the right-hand side of this screen! This is where it gets fun – we’re going to have some cool rewards available here, unavailable to anyone else! Just our way of saying thank you (because we can’t say “thank you” enough)!!
So here’s how it works. Your contribution will be counted as we approach, meet, and hopefully exceed our goal of $2000. On July 1st, 2010, the funds become available to us and we will get right back to work on the album. Please keep in mind that if we haven’t reached our goal by then, all the money goes back to you kind folks, the rewards disappear, and we will have to figure something else out. And our faces will be like this for a while :(
We’re so grateful for the chance to have our project supported by KickStarter and all you guys, the coolest people ever! This is what makes being "independent artists" so great, and we need people like you to help make this the norm!!
