How do you make a film with no script? How do you link two cultures that have no connections? How do you tell a story with no ending?
The purpose of the adventure is the adventure itself. Welcome to the first step in creating our first international film! We have been exploring all over New England in search of the most remote, weird, and unseen corners of the map and have gotten to share many of these places and travels with our friends and family. In addition, we enjoy creating music and have decided to record our first album this summer. However, our main interests are focused on documenting the undiscovered and the most important part of traveling to these locations is sharing them with all who want to explore with us.
We have decided to take our next big adventure down a different road (literally and figuratively) and create an experience combining two places that are almost never associated with one another. In choosing these two locations, we hope to challenge ourselves in search of connections that otherwise would be overlooked. Canada is both close to our hometown of White River Junction, Vermont and also gives the impression of being culturally similar to the United States. In contrast, India is home to a completely different set of cultures, religions, and values that are seldom compared to Canada. This film will provide us with a good medium for juxtaposition and the opportunity to share our discoveries with you!
Like most of our travels, we will be focused on straying from the use of maps or specific destinations with the objective of talking to the people and making discoveries ourselves. Since we cannot fit you all in our luggage, to better share this adventure with you, we intend to keep an updated blog of our journeys with pictures, stories, and short videos!
