Hello Karina! Any word on when the rest of the backers can expect to receive their backer gifts? I haven't heard anything and noticed that back in December 2011 a message went out from you saying that the first batch of gifts were sent out. Hi Rene! Thanks for your comment. The first batch of gifts were shipped out today, which included CDs and Braille jewelry. We are still in the process of manufacturing the Braille labelers, so folks who are receiving the Braille labelers or Braille labels will be getting those parts of their gift at the start of the new year. I hope that answers your question! Thanks for your support -- we couldn't do it without you!

My credit card has been charged the amount of my (rather large) donation, but I haven't gotten neither any reward nor any news on the labeller's availability date. Just wanted to say how happy I am that this succeeded. My husband and two of my children are blind, and two more of my children are going blind. We homeschool and have Braille all over the house, and I've been looking forward to this labeler ever since I first heard about it. I'm definitely in line to buy one off your first production run!

Hi Kathyrn! You're totally right. Airports, pharmacies, grocery stores, hotels, museums, schools, and office buildings are just a snapshot of other places that the labeler will be useful, beyond in the homes of blind people.
Oh! And did you know even if you don't know how to use the Braille keyboard, you can easily create Braille labels simply by plugging in a QWERTY keyboard and typing to your heart's content? This means you don't have to know any Braille at all to easily use our product!

This is far and away the most brilliant and simpler idea I've ever heard of. I'm astonished that it took until now for some one to think of it. I'm incredibly pleased to support it, even in a small way. I value my eyesight very much, but if I didn't have it I'd be so happy to have something like this to help me - I'm sure many others feel the same. Believe me, if I could fund the whole thing I would - that's how impressed with what you're doing. I will be passing this along to all my friends. You all should be very proud - this is nothing short of amazing.
