Today I was able to go up to Devoted Autoworks and get the on-dyno recording session done! Matt and David from Angled Lines were also there and captured plenty of video. I have written a blog post with some photos and an audio sample for your enjoyment: http://www.tracktimeaudio.com/?p=474 -- the audio sample is from a short (~4sec) acceleration sweep under load. You can hear all 8 mics individually, and through the photos you should be able to see where all of them were.
I did have to modify the take list, as the sonic difference between "50%" load and "100%" load were surprisingly negligible, and the added heat and time that recording at those steps would put me over my allotment. So if you are looking at the take list, just ignore everything that says 50%.
I will be attempting to align the foley session with Kelly for sometime within the month but if our schedules continue to not gel I'll be doing them myself. For now I have lots of audio to edit and sort through as it is!
