Ivan Garikow's biography will change art history. Classically trained at Repin, Ivan's legacy will be preserved - his art, appreciated.

From Garikow's classical art training at Repin Academy in 1941 through his dark years as a Nazi prisoner of war, this biography captures not only his stormy and tumultuous life in Europe and America, but also, heralds Garikow's indomitable spirit and his love for his art.

"The Garikow Project: Building the Legacy of Russian artist Ivan Garikow" is the first authorized and documented biography ever written about the life of artist Garikow.

With your help, this project will enable me to publish Garikow's biography in both English and Russian.  I have two distinct goals. First, the art world needs a vehicle which will allow Garikow's art work to be viewed and appreciated around the world.  Secondly, I believe my book will provide the documentation necessary to build and preserve the legacy of Russian artist Ivan Garikow so that he is recognized in art history as one of the great artists of the 20th century.

This nonfiction book will include digital images of his paintings, an academic perspective and scholarly analysis of his art work, a comprehensive biography of his life in Europe and America, and an exclusive appendix featuring historical documents, photos, and a few personal items of Garikow.

Any additional funding after both English and Russian publications are made available to the public will be used for PR and marketing purposes to further promote artist Garikow.

The long-term goal of "The Garikow Project" is to find a permanant home for the Garikow art collection that was almost lost forever. - A place where his art work can be displayed and viewed by art enthusiasts throughout the world.
