Children learn through dance that teamwork, dedication and determination build traits for life-long success and fitness.

Children can learn character traits through dance that help them develop into successful citizens.  Learning choreography to music as a team member teaches interpersonal and social skills, motor skills, critical thinking, synchronization, concentration and memorization.  Learning how the body moves helps children discover themselves to become more confident and physically fit.

KIDS (Kids In Dance Succeed) mentors participants in teamwork, dedication and determination to execute a choreographed dance for a community performance that exposes dance as artistic expression as well.  KIDS participants are children ages 7-17 that do not have resources for traditional expenses associated with dance instruction and performance such as tuition, costumes, travel and recital fees.  Weekly instruction culminates in the community performance where participants experience recognition for their work.  It is hoped that the KIDS project will inspire similiar programs so that more can be exposed to the benefits of dance as part of the childhood experience.
