First, I want to thank you for visiting Exit 22 and helping to participate in our Kickstarter program. Exit 22 is appreciative of all the support it receives throughout the process in hopes of achieving our goal of a music publishing deal.
For those of you who don't know, a publishing deal in music is when a company signs your songs for Movie/TV placements and pitching to other artists. Exit 22 recently had a track pitched to Avril Lavigne for her next album! This is the type of success the group is looking for with this publishing deal.
A little background on Exit 22 - Maggie Salamone and Chris Calamera formed Exit 22 back in 2000 through a mutual love of music and songwriting at Fairfield University. For over 10 years, the pair has been cranking out song after song in hopes of TV/Movie placement and a successful Publishing Deal. Exit 22 has put together 5 albums of music over this time, recording everything on an old Dell computer that has somehow survived the test of time. With one song in a movie in 2004 and several songs placed on MTV reality shows, Exit 22 is moving in the right direction, but we need a little help!
Exit 22 has received some dynamite feedback from industry professionals, with producer David Snow saying "you guys are at the top of your game at the highest levels of the industry... but you need better mixing/mastering!".
We have begun the process of seeking out and hiring world-class producers to mix/master our music, and we need Kickstarter support to complete the project.
Exit 22 recently hired world-class producer Stuart Epps to mix/produce/master their monster single "If You Call" to fantastic reviews and jaw-dropping looks of amazement as to what was coming out of their speakers. You can hear the mix below via the youtube link. We need to continue the process of hiring world-class producers to go along with Stuart's mix to help Exit 22 reach their goal of a publishing deal.
** For those interested, Exit 22 will MATCH whatever Kickstarter's donation is at the final total (up to $2500). This is to show that we are not looking for a complete funding of the project, rather we want you to PARTICIPATE in the project's success along with Exit 22's financial contribution! **

Currently, Exit 22 has hired producers Stuart Epps, David Snow and Dustin Brause along with Mastering engineer Luke Wilson to mix/produce/master 12 of Exit 22's best tracks. We are exceptionally excited for the outcome here and hope that Kickstarter can get us to the final goal that we have in mind.

"If You Call, I Will Run..." - The commanding vocals from Exit 22’s lead single "If You Call" provides the perfect backdrop for their new album, released through Awkward Silence Records in New York City. Raw, edgy vocals combined with smart, sophisticated songwriting highlight the 15-track collection from this Acoustic/Pop/Rock group based out of New York. With the success of their first big single "Naked (With A Memory)" permeating through the local airwaves from a national "Radio Star" contest, Exit 22 used the combined songwriting forces of members Maggie Salamone and Chris Calamera to generate a more powerful, in-your-face pop sound similar to "Pat Benatar meets the Goo Goo Dolls" and "Kelly Clarkson meets Matchbox Twenty".
