We are launching five new dried food mixes -- 2 bean salads, 2 beans and rice, and a white bean soup. Each new product costs around $1,000 to launch.  This includes the raw ingredients, packaging, labels, other materials, and paying our wonderful packagers.  Your help will allow us to do that!  And along with our heart-felt gratitude, each reward over $20 will get our heart-warming soups, sides, or salads. Taste the love!

Our foods are packaged by the developmentally disabled at Gateway to Learning and Little City Foundation.  Not only do these good folks enjoy packaging our products, they learn teamwork and earn spending money.  Your help will allow us to expand our product line and to work with other centers for the developmentally disabled. Ilinois ranks last in funding for the developmentally disabled, so when you support Spark of the Heart you are also helping to provide these centers with additional funding

Currently we produce Heart-Warming Soups that are delicious, complete, and very easy to prepare --- you just add water to a pot, boil, add the soup mix, and a little olive oil for richness. I only use the best ingredients -- organic beans and spices and premium non-gmo air-dried veggies. I don't feed my family fillers, thickeners, preservatives or chemicals, and I won't feed them to you, either!

 I believe the love and care I put into my recipes come through to you - our products taste good, are good for you, and contribute to the greater good.

Our Customers and Stores Want More!

When we've been doing tastings lately both customers and store employees have asked me if I've got some new products coming out.  They love our soup, but now that the weather is warming up, they want something different.  So I reworked some of my recipes so they can be packaged with the same high standards and ease of preparation as our soups.

Our New Products

Sunny Caribbean White Bean Soup -- I love the flavors of the Islands, and this soup honors that!  Mardi Gras Red Beans and Rice and Cuban-Style Black Beans and Rice -- rice and beans are sexy -- really -- think of the cultures of the world that eat beans and rice -- caliente!  Fiesta Bean Salad and Mediterranean Chick Pea Salad -- quick-cooking  beans and a citrusy "veggiegrette" --  just add olive oil and you've got a delicious, nutritious warm weather treat.

 YOUR SUPPORT

Once these new products are launched and our business is at this next level, our vision is to take our model and replicate it in other cities throughout the country so we can help employ even more of the developmentally disabled.  We've been accepted at four farmer's markets this summer, which will help us reach an even bigger audience for our foods and for our friends at our centers.  It's all good!
