what is PURPOSE BUILT about?

PURPOSE BUILT is Big Whiskey Pictures second feature film that takes place in the world of fast cars and the open road. Our goal is to shoot PURPOSE BUILT on location, across the country this summer.

...but what's the story?

Three races, two drivers, one past. Purpose Built tells the story of two estranged brothers who reconnect at a roadside diner and set off on a best-of-three series of races across the country; from rural Maine, through the ports of Baltimore, down to the marshlands of Louisiana, and out through the desert onward to Los Angeles. From start to finish, the history that drove them apart resurfaces and the future that awaits is at a finish line 3000 miles away.

who is Big Whiskey Pictures...

In 2011 Justin Eagle, Ryan Schmitz, Daniel Buscetta and Michael Lovaglio joined together to form Big Whiskey Pictures and shot their first feature film, The Search for Agent Z. 

what is kickstarter?

  • Kickstarter is an amazing creative community where people can help each other's dreams become a reality. 
  • By making pledges (donations) to a project, you gain rewards.

  • Let us state first, that none of the donations go to Big Whiskey Pictures! Every dollar raised will go into the production of PURPOSE BUILT.
  • If you decide to help, your pledge will go directly towards equipment rentals, insurance, costumes, lodging, feeding a very hard working cast and crew and everything to ensure a proper and safe shoot. 
  • Any donation of any size helps. It can even make the difference in those last couple miles of gas we have while racing across the country.
