We have reached our goal today, one day ahead of schedule! Thanks to all of you great people who have been so supportive, which has and will further inspire us to bring forth a really great and wide portrait of George Maciunas.
Raising $20,000 on Kickstarter is a great achievement and we want to tell you how grateful that we are for your generous support, however, the project will need more money for the future steps in the filmmaking. Our project will be online until Friday (midnight) which means we are still welcoming donations and encourage you to keep spreading the word even though we have met our goal.
Also, we plan to create a thank you party in the near future here in NYC, so please stay tuned!

New reward: '99 Events' by Ken Friedman
In those final nerve-wracking days of fundraising another generous friend donated an artwork to raise money for our documentary: Ken Friedman offers his '99 Events' score, exhibited in 2009 at the Stendhal gallery. This signed edition was originally announced at $5,000 for the full block. It was never released for sale and all sheets are individually dated and initialed. Please find this reward in the $400,- category.

Dear friends,
I want to thank everyone for your great support of our Kickstarter campaign for GEORGE, my feature length documentary portrait on George Maciunas, the founder and empresario of Fluxus.
With 8 days and $5,000 to go, we are excited to share with you, that we have now added another great new reward. Artist friend Ann Craven has generously donated a woodblock print for our Kickstarter campaign. This beautiful piece is valued at $3,000 however we are offering it at $2,000.
This is Ann Craven's 1st reduction wood block print. Reduction prints require a labor intensive process. These were created by Ann and a Master Printer at The Leroy Neiman Print Center at Columbia. Each print is unique and registers the unique qualities of the wood with each pass through the press. When completed, the edition of prints is considered "closed," as most of the surface will be cut away and no more prints can be created from the block. In contrast to the multi-block method, where proofs can be created at any point and corrections made to the blocks, in the reduction method the artist can view and correct the work only as it develops progressively. Once a color is printed and the next round of cutting begins, there is no going back.
