I'm Vera Greentea and my dream is to create art and help others create art. Currently, I'm working on a comic book series called Recipes for the Dead as well as other writing projects. One day soon, I hope to be able to produce other people's comic books.
@Chris Matt Thanks :) I'm beyond chuffed it all came out alright!
Received and looks great!! Good job!!
@Jamie That's so lovely to hear! Thank YOU
I just received Recipes for the Dead today! Well... it came yesterday, but I forgot to bring the mail in. The pdf version was amazing, but it doesn't compare to the real thing. Thank you so much!
@Gina: Ginnnaaa! Friday and Saturday YES. Sunday is an Almost Surely! I miss you too, chica!! And thanks so much <3
Verrra. I miss you. But I will see you at Comic-Con! But will you be there all 3 days?
Hey everyone,
thanks again and again for the enthusiasm and awesomeness!
Love,
Vera
@Mikkel: Hi! What great questions! The comic is getting printed paperback for now - it's short, about 20 pages - but will be good quality. I am looking into shipping to Europe, but it will most likely be by slow media mail. Backers will be receiving the PDF the first day it's out so they can read it right away, then wait a while until the physical copy reaches them. I wish I could fedex the comics, but it would be too expensive for my current budget.
Thanks for such great questions, Mikkel, don't hesitate to ask more if you're still unclear! :)
Any idea of how the comic is getting printed? Hardcover or paperback?
And what about shipping to europe :) ?
@Irina: Thanks! Keep checking back, more is coming!
Thank you for sharing your work with us! Keep up with the good work!!!
@Irina: How kind of you to say so, thank you :)
For those who don't know, she is talking about a short victoriana that isn't out yet except as a review copy, but will hopefully get a release date soon. If you're interested, keep a lookout and I'll make sure to mention it when I know more!
I'm reading your other book right now, oh boy, I love it! It's fun it's creative! You are able to send people back in time but put a cool contemporary spin on it. Very funny too, I really want to know how it'll end!
@eternal-s: I hope you checked your email, but if you didn't, you should :)

Hey Vera,
I dig this site, and I look forward to reading this comic. Also, I'd be interested in checking out any other work you've done, even if it's not in comic form. I write short fiction and poetry myself, and it's always nice to know other writers. Keep in touch. I'm not sure if this site will give you my email address or whatever, so in case you'd like it, just let me know.
Best,
Ian
@John: Thanks so much for your kind words! I'm happy that the idea appeals to you! I don't mind you asking at all, I'm actually originally from Russia.
This is such an original idea for a comic. It combines two of my favorite things, food and a hot female protagonist. Its nice to see a talented and attractive female creator in the comic book forum. I think you'll surpass your goal very easily. Good Luck. By the way, if you don't mind me asking, what is your country of origin?
@ Sara: Thanks! The song is called Seasons in the Sun. This version is a cover by a Brit-pop band called Black Box Recorder. They are sadly defunct now, but still wonderful to listen to. I'm glad you like it!
Wow! I think I'll donate some money. Yay!
And who sings the song that plays? It sounds pretty.
