THE STORY - 

The project is a comic entitled “Six Gun Mage”. A “six gun” is a slang term for a revolver used primarily in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The term mage, while generally self explanatory, is generally taken to mean a wizard or user of magic of some sort.

The story of the comic revolves around the main character, “Kylie”. Kylie is a cadet at a prestigious academy in a steampunk world. The acedemy’s purpose is to raise and train “gun mages” as a sort of special forces for the ruling government which has consisted of a council of mages since the last great war. In the first chapter, Kylie is, for reasons unknown to the reader, travelling away from the academy with the prototype of an advanced weapon designed to empower the gun mages. Her first stop is the metropolis of “boiling springs”, a primarily steam powered city built atop a an anomalous region of hot springs amid a largely desert environment. 

In Boiling Springs, Kylie becomes involved with a feud between rival mercenaries destined to become her companions as the series continues. We also discover the motive behind her journey and the direction her life will take in the of the series.

WHAT THE MONEY IS FOR- 

The total cost of production, creation of the book and other rewards (including mailing) will be covered in the amount $18,000.  To inspire your awesome generosity, we have a lot of different donation incentives on the sidebar!  Some from the new comic, and some from the beloved "Misfile". You could get Kickstarter-exclusive "Misfile Devil Ash Figures!", original artwork by creator Chris Hazelton and other one of a kind items from both comics. You could even acquire some real concept art from the start of the project from “Six Gun Mage”.

Stretch Goals

If we pass the $30,000 mark - We will have stickers created and sent to everyone who has a book or poster sent to them.  Just added in 01/15/2013 - If we reach the goal of $30,000 we will add in misfile book 12 or if you are new to misfile, book 1, your pick for any backer of $40 or more. :)

If we pass the $50,000 mark- We will look into having key chains made for everyone as well.

If we pass the $75,000 mark - we will come up with some kind of plushie for everyone and update as needed. 

If we pass the $100,000 mark -?????? Can you all do it?

With some luck, time and your help hopefully "Six Gun Mage" will be as successful if not more than "Misfile".
