There is trouble in the world.

The world’s nations fight bitterly over diminishing fossil fuels. Food is scarce and hard to transport. Acts of God and humans take down the electrical grid. Civilization as we know it grinds to a halt. Technology does not save us.

And then things get really bad.

Season 2 pushes the boundaries of everything experienced in Season 1.  There are daring rides of a wild river.  There are helicopters and missiles, secret police and acts of God (and acts of the Devil).  False prophets will be revealed and the truly righteous will stand out.  This is one incredible story.

Your support is essential to keep the series going.  There are 3 seasons planned to realize THE CLEANSED, and to keep production standards to what you're used to hearing we need to raise funds to pay actors, sound designers, crew, and our composer.  We also want Simon Adams to do a bunch of new amazing artwork for us and he needs to eat as well.

ABOUT US

FinalRune Productions is an award-winning on-location audio drama production company nestled in the woods of Maine. Producer Fred Greenhalgh lives in an off-grid house, and while he's not that paranoid, he's thought a lot about what would happen in an energy crisis and what life would be like after oil.

We've been producing shows since 2006 and giving them away for free at: http://www.finalrune.com/. Our work has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, BBC Radio 4 Blog, The Guardian Newspaper, numerous blogs... We're pleased to see 10,000s of people downloading our show each month - we keep  giving it away for free because we believe that people just need to hear this.

We record on location - taking a stereo mic, field kit, and our actors to interesting locations such as beaches, woods, lighthouses, airports, and bars to have them deliver lines in extremely realistic circumstances. This makes the sound design more compelling than you ever get in a studio production and a lot of fun for the cast.

Then come back March 1, 2013, when we'll be debuting Episode 9, the first installment of Season 2.  Thereafter we'll be releasing a full professionally mastered audio download for purchase on the first Friday of each month until October, 2013.

For those who don't want to/can't pay, we'll also be offering a free podcast version in 5-7 minute chunks each week, which will be ad-supported.
