HOLE IN MY BUCKET: a perspective 
 Take a sneak peak into the heart, mind, and soul of Choreographer Terrance Henderson and TO DANCE Inc. through this evening of contemporary dance excerpts... A theatrical experience through dance, sound, image, spoken word, song, and an open forum directly engaging with the audience. Featuring excerpts from two original works: Vessel and the Black Man...Complex, Henderson delves into dealing with some of life's disappointments and trying to find motivation, meaning and self-encouragement in a world of frustration, complexity, and uncertainty. Henderson combines his rhythmic musicality and full bodied movement aesthetic, digital images and video, and a wide range of music from artists like Bobby McFerrin, Nina Simone, John Legend, Radiohead, Funkadelic, and Herbie Hancock. HOLE IN MY BUCKET: a perspective is a contemporary dance experience. TO DANCE Inc is based in Columbia, South Carolina.

This show will premier at the prestigious ROGUE FESTIVAL in Fresno, California in March 2013 as well as other cities across SC.

**the video is a snippet from the beginning of this process with VESSEL at the Moving Mind Project Retreat in Costa Rica July 2012.. we worked on the phrases and origin of this work and some of our dicussions+workshops led to the direction and focus of the works intent

Presenting new work across the country is an important way for my work to reach a broader audience but is also a testament to the quality of contemporary artists and work in our state. We have a diverse and vibrant community of underrecognized artists. Performing at Rogue 2013 will be my second invitation and that kind of recognition validates my work and my choice to remain in SC and share my work here while pursuing global opportunity. Financially its hard to fund travel expenses which is usually what prevents small companies and independent artists from opportunities like these which could project an artist into a new realm almost immediately...
