Our goal is to produce a Live Studio Album of Sephardic and Ladino music with Ljuba Davis on vocals accompanied by awesome musicians.
For those of you who know or have listened to Ljuba sing, it is obvious that this woman needs to make a record! We are raising funds to create a live, full-length studio recording and video of Ljuba singing Sephardic songs accompanied by an awesome ensemble of world-class musicians playing authentic instruments.
With everyone's donations, we will book the studio, hire musicians, complete the mastering of the recording and get some publicity. Our aim is to finish the recording in early October of this year and have it ready in December. We've found a great recording studio in Brooklyn that can accommodate an audience of approximately 25 people in the same room as the band performing while preserving the band's sound quality. Musicians and audience together will create a vibrant and moving concert experience for the performers, drawing forth the maximum flavor and emotion in this already powerful music.
Ljuba is a charismatic repository of the music and our finished product will be a great way to learn, enjoy, and share the songs with ourselves, our families and our friends. Thank you for your support and Love to you all!
