Listen Somewhere Between on The World
Today is a really exciting day for me because PRI's The World aired a wonderful piece about the film! I have been a HUGE fan of the show for a long time, so I'm feeling a little giddy about having our film on their show. You can listen to it online now at their website.
For folks in the Minneapolis area, where we open today (11/16). I will be at the theater on Friday for the 7PM screening and Saturday for the 1:30 screening for Q&As - thanks to FCA-Midwest and Tracy Smith for making it happen!
And speaking of this weekend, Ann Boccuti will be handling the Q&As in Wilmington, DE at our screenings Nov. 16-18. And we're also opening in Denver, CO and Portland, ME Today! We've got so many great cities opening the film:
Please check out these Tugg screenings! Some need your help to confirm the screening, and others have some seats available, so please don't let the screening near you pass you by!
We've got lots of new bookings - all on our screening page. I have to say, I'm especially happy to announce that we'll be coming to the Music Box Theater in Chicago on January 11th. Yes, only someone from Chicago would be excited about going to Chicago in January!
Lastly, a word about Word of Mouth: as you all know, this film was made by a dedicated group of people as a labor of love… however, we all made it to reach a broad audience. We all feel strongly that that the film is about connecting all communities, all families, because the themes of the film are universal: identity, family, and belonging. Everyone involved believes that the film has the power to create conversations: everyone is 'somewhere between' at various points in their lives, and the more we learn about each others' differences, the more we can all connect with our similarities. So to that end, we ask that you send this newsletter to your friends - whether they are in the adoption community or not - as we are counting on your voice to be a part of this grand conversation!
Thank you!

Tired of waiting to seeing your city on this list? With Tugg, you can easily bring SOMEWHERE BETWEEN to your town as a one-night event, without having to pay a licensing fee! Here is how it works:
- Visit the SOMEWHERE BETWEEN PAGE ON TUGG
- Sign up to host a screening and become the event’s "promoter."
- Provide your preferred event details – time, date, and even theater of your choice (including all the major chains)
- A Tugg representative will then contact you to help set up the event details.
- Spread the word, and invite your friends and community to purchase advance tickets from the event page.
- Once enough tickets are pre-sold (usually around 65 tickets) by a designated date (usually five business days before the event) the screening is confirmed. (If not enough tickets are pre-sold, no one is charged and the event is canceled.)
- As an added bonus, as the event promoter you or your organization will receive 5% of the ticket revenue.
- Then just sit back and enjoy the show!

Hello Terry -
I am sorry about your frustration. We have mentioned in an update a while ago that the DVD release had been delayed, and then wrote this paragraph in the update sent on Oct. 26, 2012 (Update #31)
DVD NEWS:
Kickstarter Backers - We finally have a release date for the DVD - February 5th - but as Kickstarter Backers, you will be getting your DVDs first! We expect to get them into the mail (yes, we will personally be labeling, packing and shipping 1405 of them) by mid-January. As a special added bonus, every DVD comes with a companion DVD - Beyond Somewhere Between - which has interviews with adoption professionals, adult adoptees, and some additional footage of our four girls. Thank you for your support and your patience!,
Here's the link to whole update: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/677091478/somewhere-between-a-documentary-film/posts/336934
When we created the Kickstarter rewards, we made the delivery time of the DVD estimated, as the release is not totally in our control. We also felt we were pretty clear that the purpose of the Kickstarter campaign was to raise the necessary funds to get the film into theaters. Which have done, as promised :) Again, I'm sorry that the DVDs took longer than expected. Warm regards, linda

I am frustrated that I have not received our DVD yet, nor an update on is's status. Instead I get a lot of emails that while somewhat interesting just add more emails that I am not that interested in. I was very excited about the project, but I now am feeling used. I am sorry if this sounds especially cranky. I want to support the effort though, you have not fulfilled on the promise of the CD.
Please update, so I can otherwise unsubscribe to the emails.
Thank you.
