Pre-release of Damask's latest chapbook: Ariana Nash's Our Blood Is Singing. Hand-printed.
Damask Press' forthcoming chapbook Our Blood Is Singing by Ariana Nash is a sustained meditation on motherhood, loss and sexuality. She moves through traditional and open forms with virtuosity and delicacy. The chapbook is hand-printed on a Vandercook Universal I press and features an illustration by Emily Leach. It is 5 X 6.75 inches and will appear in a limited edition of 100 copies.
About the author:
Ariana Nadia Nash is the winner of the 2011 Philip Levine Prize in Poetry for her manuscript, Instructions for Preparing Your Skin, which is forthcoming from Anhinga Press. She is also the recipient of a Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Prize. She earned her MFA in creative writing at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and spent the fall of 2011 in residency at The MacDowell Colony. Her work can be found in The Cafe Review, Rock & Sling and Main Street Rag, and is forthcoming from The Mom Egg.
