Troll Lord Games was founded in 1999 and embarked upon the grand publishing adventure with a bunch of adventures and the world setting of Aihrde (then Erde). In 2001 we began working with Gary Gygax, publishing a host of Gygaxian titles until his passing in 2008. His vision inspired our greatest work, Castles & Crusades a table top role playing game that is entering its 5th printing! TLG has a long and proud history of working with and the great gatherings of gamers!
I've been drooling over my box since it arrived, and now I'm onto the 5th printing project. Fantastic!

Everyone's went out today except those that didn't get me an address over. Yours is part of a group we had to repackage (that being the highest level). But I personally signed your books and saw them in the package. It shipped double boxed, priority mail.
What you won't see on the shelves of your store are the color plates in your copy of Classic Monsters. ;)
But rest assured it is airborne. We've learned how to do this as well so this won't happen on the next run.

Still haven't received mine and was a little bummed seeing copies on the shelf at my local game shop already despite my pledging the highest level months ago to help get the thing printed in the first place... Here's hoping I don't have to wait TOO much longer. :-(

At first I thought you had a damaged book, and emailed you about it. But I believe what you are seeing is not poor binding. The Classic Monsters is a smythe sewn book. That means that the signatures blocks (each 16 pages long). These signatures are sewn into the headband which is bound to the end sheets, which in turn are attached to the covers of the whole book. This is pretty much standard practice for all game books. Its the same with the PH, CKG, MT, etc. Check those out and you can tell.
But these books are well bound and won't pose a problem. We had them printed and bound at Walsworth printing, a company doing this for many decades.

not really certain where to post this, ,, The good news I received the book and it's great. Nice print job, great value for what I pay ,,except for one thing. The spine. It's hard to describe the problem, but basic the last pages that connect the hard cover to the pages are the only thing doing so. The pages inner spine in well put together, but it is not glued to the hard backing's spine. So when the page that is attached to the hard cover splits and cracks, which it will eventually do, The whole thing is going to come out. In my opinion kind of bad craft.
These puppies are shipping our fast, but we are try to be careful as some of these packages are a bit complicated...what with signatures, t shirts and sizes, thinking about stuff, fishing..wait that was my sunday list mixed in. ;)

Apparently this is starting to ship! Good news!
Good idea about putting out the PDF before the hard copy. The fellow over at Crypts & Things did that and the feedback let him find a ton of errors.
Can't wait to get my hands on it. When does it ship? Can you ship it with the items I ordered on January 13, 2012 without the Winter Runes adventure of course I realize that is not in print yet.
Is it possible to get other products from the TLG store shipped together with this? For example, if I order C&C Casebound Landscape Screens, can you ship them together to save on the shipping cost?

What a great deal! For the cost of the PHB + Monsters and Treasure, I get the new Classic Monster Book, a t-Shirt, 10 coins and pouch, mention in the credits of the new book, personalized autographs, PDF copies to print and take to games (leaving my precious HCs safe at home) AND the Troll Lord will drink a Dr. Pepper to my health? Rats! Here I thought that it meant there would be skin samples and DNA packets.
Personalized means that Davis and I will sign each book with a personal note. They are hardbacks, yes.
