Back Story

We’re from a small town named Gloucester VA. There isn't too much to do. Skateboarding has become a pretty popular activity for the local kids but most of the places to skate are local businesses and that doesn't go over too well. Over the years we’ve had quite a few projects to give people more places to skate and spend time with their friends and make new ones but eventually all of them have come to a halt for one reason or another. Because of this we decided to build a bowl. We have a solid piece of private property and we’ve managed to complete more than half of the construction but money has become an issue. This has been a massive project for just two guys to take on and up to this point we’ve put quite a bit of our own money into supplies. Now though, we’ve grown up, moved out and have to pay for school and rent so we’re hoping we can get some help from great people like you! Word has spread through the surrounding towns and cities (and even some bordering states) and people want to see this thing get finished just as much as we do. With skateboarding comes a strong sense of brotherhood and we don’t want to let anyone down. Any amount you can pitch in is totally appreciated and will not only give some good people a good time but maybe keep some kids out of trouble as well. This community has room to grow and everyone is welcome.

About the Tube Sock

It’s in the shape of a tube sock (thus titled the Tube Sock), has a 5 foot section, a 6 foot section, an 8 foot vertical extension and is about 24 feet wide and nearly 70 feet long. It’s huge! The skeleton is nearly finished and a great deal of it has been ply’d but it’s been a little while since we’ve had a chance to do some work so some areas will need to be replaced. If we can raise 1,800$ it should be enough to replace any weathered wood, fill in the remaining areas, build the deck and shape and install the coping. PLEASE HELP! ( It’s also located directly behind a 16 foot wide, 11 foot tall half pipe which we would like to connect the two in some way eventually, but that’ll be another project entirely.)
