This DVD video teaches you how to build a thermal mass rocket stove- a highly efficient, clean, affordable, wood-burning heater.

Rocket stoves are thermal-mass wood burning home heaters that anyone can build. With the help of a few friends and some dedication you can make a rocket stove with easily accessible materials and with no more than a couple hundred dollars. These heaters are extremely efficient, using 60-90% less wood. They do not give off smoke; they give off steam and CO2. The beautiful aesthetic of the stove will become a favorite place for friends and family to gather around inside your home.

We teamed up with Ernie and Erica Wisner (http://www.ernieanderica.info/) to produce an instructional video outlining how to build a rocket stove heater. Although we have already finished shooting all of the necessary footage, we still have a lot of work to do. We are asking for 6,000 dollars to cover the costs of video editing, animation, music composition, sound design, graphic design, initial printing costs, and distribution.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

There are many obstacles to creating a successful DVD. It is a very time consuming and expensive process. One of the biggest challenges is getting enough time with skilled artisans to get all of the work done quickly.
I have a very talented artist, editor, and illustrator who I will hire to do the things that he can do better than myself. The cost of creating this DVD is more than the $6,000 we are requesting, and we have already invested thousands of dollars of our own money and time, so we are committed to finishing this project. The biggest risk is likely to be getting a finished DVD done by June.
