Wild Animal School is an inspiring, coming-of-age, young adult novel.
The story: Sixteen-year-old Jessica Rainville’s dream of working with exotic animals is about to come true! She is signed up to spend a summer learning to train and care for tigers, lions, leopards, bears, and elephants at an exotic animal ranch. She will pet tigers, feed grizzly bears, and ride bareback on elephants. But the experience will test her in ways that she never imagined. And just one mistake can mean the difference between life and death.
The author: I've been researching Wild Animal School my entire life. As a child, I was surrounded by not-so-exotic animals, like dogs, cats, and a guinea pig. When I grew older, I had the privilege of spending time with tigers, lions, leopards, grizzly bears, monkeys, elephants, sea lions, dolphins, and killer whales.
The goal: My goal is to publish Wild Animal School as a hardcover and make it available to readers through bookstores, schools, and libraries.
