We put together a quick look at Level Design in GROUND BRANCH for you. This only very briefly scratches the surface as we don't want to give away our secrets. Enjoy!

      @colin I know it's pre-alpha. I'm just concerned they don't have enough to convince casual gamers to back which they will need. I wish hardcore shooters were where the majority of people were but it's not. With the market flooded with shooters they need to show more so people know what the difference in experience is. It's really impossible to explain it, you have to play it or show it. That's just what I think, maybe I'm wrong.

      Most of what you are asking is answered in the Q and A section of the GB web site.

      All so remember the game is in a Pre Alpha stage. So footage of in game play is very scarce.

      Also try and realise 90% of KS projects dont have anywhere near the information you are seeing with this game, most KS campaigns are just ideas and a fe pictures.

      Most of the ground work and mechanics of the player are nearly complete, it is a well advanced Pre Alpha build.
      You can see how good this is in the video that is being shown.

      Also if you do have a look at the forums and have a good read we have been talking and making choices for a couple of years about exactly what your asking.

      Go have a read some of the post are really in depth and give loads of information.

      The other point I want to share is the Developer will listen to you and reply to you as.

      I just reread what I wrote earlier and I wish there was an edit on these forums. I was merely trying to relay things that I was hearing on the GT forums. People didn't see a reason to donate to GB because they figure it's the same as ARMA 3 that will be coming out soon. Didn't mean to come across discouraging which I feel I did. For that I apologize. Should have edited before posting.

      @ TrueLed - Yes, that is in the works. What was there was a simple rotation of the torso just to get the feature in and working.

      @ Urs - Very True! We plan to do traditional "Mission Packs" to sell, remember those!

      I have a feeling that you need more videos explaining game mechanics and how it will be different. I am really not bashing the game (already backed), but explaining what your game modes will be and things that separate you from other games. You state that you are not like Battlefield and not like ARMA, but people don't know what you are like.

      Will single player have squad mechanics like in the original GR? Will it be lonewolf? Will multiplayer have hostage rescues or search and destroy mechanics? Will MP be no re-spawn? Will maps be big forests giving you the able to set up ambushes or will they be junkyards like COD?

      I know some of these are answered in the text but, lets be honest, most people investing in games are more interested in visual and audio than text. I just feel that you need to prepare a little more and/or maybe develop a little more so you know what the game will entail and can clearly depict that full game. Whatever the case, it hasn't been defined what distinguishes yourself and what the benefits to playing a tactical shooter is.

      I really want to see this game be a success, so I decided to write down my thoughts and opinions in hopes that it could help this and further attempts (if necessary) at marketing GROUND BRANCH.

      And for my selfish bit, I personally want to see no respawn outdoors game-play and maps big enough that you don't know when or where the enemy will engage from. There is just no intensity like no respawn 8v8.

      Still posting on forums and youtube to help you guys out as much as possible.

      @BFS Nice to hear, still i'm sure your priority tasklist ist big enough atm, within the calculated Budget.

      I think people woul'd even pay for AddOn maps, as long the Price is fair, imo.
      At least i woul'd do, after all even if it's a "Put hour Heart and Soul in a Project", you still have to make money.

      When setting up the peeking mode please consider a more real life like peek. Our brain & eyes compensate & we still see it all levelin.

      Yes, we will have a good variation on map locations. I'd like to do some snow stuff, but that might be as a free addon post release. We'll see.

      i hope you consider to have at least one winter/snow map scenario on your roadmap for GB, there has to be. ;-) but first things first.

      There is a strange artifact with the fast movements when encoding. It doesn't look like that in the game, but seems to mess with the video compression. I'm looking into it.

      Remember this is an Alpha Build.

      If the AI see or hear the birds your compromised already.

      Its a good look at what the Devs are doing. I hate closed maps and 2 or 3 ways in and out it is so boring, no replay value at all.
