About this project
"What Light" is a new short narrative film project from writer/director Tom McIntire. What Light is a visually-rich, layered drama inspired by the moment when Romeo's longing is given a face and a focus.
Sara is hurt and angry upon seeing her boyfriend Eric's uncharacteristically heartfelt reaction to a vision of a beautiful actress. She searches for the same passion in the face of young Travis, a stranger she met in a bar.
Greenspoke's Tim Gouran and Washington Ensemble Theatre standout Libby Matthews are already on board and we will cast the remaining roles starting in October. We will be shooting in high def in Seattle and already have some wonderful locations lined up.
The money will be used for equipment rental, production expenses and post-production costs.

Seattle filmmaker Tom McIntire's work has appeared in festivals in the US, Canada and Europe. His short film, Greenspoke, was a 2009 Accolade Award of Merit winner and premiered at the 2009 Bumbershoot Short Film Festival. Greenspoke came in 2nd place at the 2011 ReelHeart International Film Festival in Toronto. His latest film, What Light, is completed and awaits a willing festival. :) Tom also recently completed a feature length ghost story script called Platinum Rose. Tom is also an actor and has appeared on Japanese network television several times.
