Update #5: Let's Hear it for New York.

Posted on August 15, 2010

Dear Post-Car Adventuring supporters (especially those of you in New York City),

We will be presenting a proposal for 'Post-Car Adventuring NYC, a guidebook' at the next FEAST in Brooklyn, this coming Saturday, August 21st. We are very excited to be a part of this event and would love to see you there. Come out to enjoy some delicious food, beer from Brooklyn Brewery, and cast a vote for Post-Car Adventuring NYC--if we are chosen by the FEAST community to receive funding, the money will be used to bolster and add to the funding we've generated on kickstarter and will mean that the NYC guidebook will be up and running in just three months from now.

FEAST
Saturday, August 21, 2010

Our next FEAST will be held at
Church of the Messiah
at 129 Russell St, Brooklyn NY
from 5–8pm.

FEAST is a recurring public dinner designed to use community-driven financial support to democratically fund new and emerging artmakers.

WE EXPECT THIS EVENT TO SELL OUT!
Please purchase advanced tickets
by 6pm Friday, August 20 at:
Brooklyn Kitchen — 100 Frost Street
Marlow & Sons — 81 Broadway at Berry Street
Tickets are cash-only and can only be purchased in store.

For more info on FEAST, see their website at http://feastinbklyn.org/.

If you're planning on attending, send us a message and let us know!

Thanks, Kelly & Justin

      This looks awesome.
Good luck with the project... I hope that you DO get funding.

I am planning my trip to NYC in September and am hoping to know how to get myself where I need to go without taxi or needing a car at all. Buses maybe, but no cars.

Update #4: 24 days until we can send you your stuff.....IF we meet our goal!

Update #3: 'Post-Car Adventuring Los Angeles' to be featured in high-speed rail exhibition

Posted on July 21, 2010

Our plans for Post-Car Adventuring Los Angeles and our project as a whole are going to be part of an exhibition in Los Angeles titled "LA Beyond Cars, a Global Perspective on Rail and Public Space" on July 29th, 2010. If you live in LA and are able to attend the exhibit, let us know what you think!

The planners and architects of railLA, a progressive and forward-thinking organization that seeks to consider and influence the transportation future of LA particuarly in relation to high-speed rail, are organizing and planning this exhibition. If you live in LA and are able to attend, let us know what you think!

To see the online version of our submission, visit this link: http://railla.org/1943

Think our project would appeal to a friend? Send them a personal message and tell them about our campaign today! We still have a ways to go.

Update #2: The guidebooks get a new page today--'hacking' county bus systems

Posted on July 13, 2010

While we cross our fingers and send mass emails to publicize this campaign, work continues on the computer machine to make sure the guidebooks are ready to print when we hit our goal. Today Justin added this page to our master file, meaning this page will appear in the guidebook for each city and region we cover.
