Bahndr: A new story everyday

Bahndr (pronounced 'BON-der') is a just released iOS app that takes a different approach to social curation. More than an app, Bahndr is a social game clothed as a periodical that publishes a single page every day. What gets published is chosen from stories collaboratively created throughout the day by users of the Bahndr iPhone app. What gets published is decided democratically by Bahndr users via a daily vote.

Why did we build Bahndr?

We built Bahndr because we believe there is an untapped resource of high-quality micro content that people create everyday in Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc.. that is quickly lost in feeds, or never given the chance to be seen beyond a limited social networking circle.

With Bahndr, we've created a fun, quirky game that challenges micro-content creators to collaborate to produce high-quality content that could be published page as a page in Bahndr. 

A Tweet may have a visible life span measured in seconds, a Facebook post hours, but with Bahndr, great content, along with those who create it, is fostered, preserved and featured permanently on the Bahndr web site and in the Bahndr iPhone app.

Why we need you?

We need your help to market Bahndr and grow its user base beyond our family and close friends. We've already have a fully functioning app and web site,  but what we need now is a cohesive, funded marketing campaign for Bahndr. We believe Bahndr has tremendous appeal within the New York City, specifically to those who regularly use social media to create micro-content. 

Using Kickstarter, we'd like to bring aboard a marketing intern for 12 weeks this summer to design and execute a marketing campaign to target a subset of these users. We want to hire an undergraduate/graduate intern from a NYC area school to help spread the word of Bahndr across the city. By bringing on an intern, we feel we can both help the growth of our own enterprise at the same time as giving a student invaluable experience in mobile application marketing. 

The money we receive will go both to paying a the intern's salary, along with procurement of marketing materials necessary to rapidly grow Bahndr to our goal of 1,000 users by the fall.

Bahndr is free, and we aren't introducing advertisements to preserve its experience, hence your help is greatly appreciated!
