In rural Kentucky, a wife and mother commits an unthinkable crime for the sake of her loved ones.
Set in a rural community in Kentucky, Land of Tomorrow tells the story of Betty, a wife and mother who fights to save her family’s farm-supply business. When her husband Frank falls ill and their son Finley gets into college, the financial pressures become too much, and Betty commits an unthinkable crime for the sake of her loved ones.
Writer/director Kimberly Levin says: “I wrote Land of Tomorrow to provoke dialogue. Food is used as a metaphor to explore my interest in the complex relationship of the individual to the big machine – and an individual’s need to take responsibility regardless of how powerless they feel. Most importantly, I want to tell a gripping story that engages, entertains and perhaps even haunts.”
