The Story and our Name
Located in rarefied air of Denver CO, Ne10 Designs, is a small design studio that produces mile-highly desirable limited-edition runs of t-shirts. The Ne10 name is inspired by vintage neon signs. Neon is a chemical element with symbol Ne and it has an atomic number of 10. Neon is a noble gas which is common in the universe but rare on the Earth. Vintage neon signs are rare. Each t-shirt is hand produced and will be limited in number which is going to make them rare and unique. Once the run is complete the images and designs will not be used again.
The goal of this Kickstarter project is to cover the costs of designing, producing and shipping of our first series of shirts to our Kickstarter supporters!

Unisex Sizes: S, M, L, XL
(Contact me if you want larger sizes and we may add them) - Process: Each Silk-screened shirt has anywhere from 3-6 colors. As you know each color adds detail but also complexity and cost. The planned number of colors is listed next to each design. The images will be printed on the front of the shirt and scaled as large a possible.

The Designs and Background

Design #1: Gothic
Location: Englewood, Colorado
Background: The History of the glorious Gothic Theatre began in the roaring Twenties when magnificent movie palaces were the center of entertainment in society. The theater grand art deco style awed the thousands of Denver residents who came to view the classic movies of the period. With seating for less than 1000 people it may not be as famous as the namesake in Seattle but holds a special spot in Denver residence as it pounds out thrilling concerts on a regular basis.

Design #2: Anchor Motel
Location: Denver, Colorado
Background: The sole TripAdvisor Review of the Anchor says: "The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that they changed the linens and cleaned the room each day. Other than that, it was a horrible experience. The hotel only has two phone lines for 30-some rooms. When using the phone line for dial-up internet for my work, the owners would pull the plug and leave me phone-less for entire days and nights. I believe this is illegal, even a wire-tapping federal felony. What if I had an emergency and needed to call 911? On several occasions, the owners would bang on my door first thing in the morning and storm in uninvited, accusing me of not paying on time for the next night. It gets better, read it here yourself."

Design #3: Red Pine Motel
Location: Denver, Colorado
Background: An ancient Broadway motel so past it's prime that TripAdvisor doesn't have a single review. It's not entirely improbable that no one has ever checked out... Well regardless of whether Hitchcock may have missed a golden opportunity in Denver - this sign is stunningly cool and will be printed in FIVE colors.

Design #4: Gennaro's Lounge
Location: Denver, Colorado
Background: Gennaro's Lounge poked its head up on South Broadway in 1951. Opened by Joe Gennaro and now operated by his son, it's a relic of the days when pasta was still a challenging ethnic food, pizza an oddity of flat bread and tomatoes and mozzarella. A Westword Review of the GL: I wandered into Gennaro's one day and thought about it for a week afterward. I thought about how warm it was even though it was empty (I was the only one there who wasn't an employee), how I caught the one waitress eating and how she laughed and covered her mouth and apologized. Mostly, I thought about the smell — the warm exhalation of crushed tomatoes, oregano and char that's as endemic to a proper Italian joint ... that carries the distinct genetic imprint of its East Coast forebears.

Design #5: Broadway Motel
Location: Denver, Colorado
Background: Every town has a Broadway. Some are good - some not so much. Our Broadway doesn't have any '1-percenters' living on it. They could probably snap up a place like this with spare pocket change and turn it into something hip and cool or least safe and affordable. But alas as it stands today, this place doesn't even have the money to put light bulbs into the arrow on their sign. I doubt they'd work anyway.
