About this project
I watched Helvetica a couple of years ago and was bored to tears. Not that it wasnt a great documentary, but they managed to bore me, while also informing me, about my favorite typeface. Then I got the idea to make a mockumentary about 1 designer who was absolutely in love with Comic Sans. I was going to play that designer. I spent many nights tossing and turning in my bed, waking up with cold sweats at the thought of championing this typeface. How could I possibly call myself a designer and still pretend to love such nasty font? I couldn't.
So here we are, 2010 and Comic Sans is still being widely used. People that don't know about typefaces love it, and designers all collectively hate it, but where did it come from? Who created it? Why is it still being used so much? Those are the exact reasons why we are setting out on a journey to uncover the nasty truths behind the worlds most hated font: Comic Sans.
