Leslie's cancer cards were developed in honor of our Aunt Leslie to bring joy to those suffering with the disease.

The Story
Leslie was diagnosed with Stage IV Glioblastoma (a type of brain cancer) in 2011. When she was first diagnosed; cards, gifts and visitors came daily. As her struggled continued, the well wishes slowly trickled off. Leslie felt that “the longer you are ill the more friends that you lose”. She feels that people “have a hard time dealing with death and just aren’t sure what to say”.
This is when the idea for Leslie’s cancer cards was born. As her family, she told us her idea for funny cards for the cancer patients to send their friends and vice versa. This way “friends and family realize that the patients are in the fight of their life and can still laugh, even if only at ourselves”.
Leslie continues to have a positive attitude through her struggles. She often tells stories of laughing so loud with her husband in her hospital room that others down the hall come down to join in on the fun.
What we've accomplished so far
So far, we've produced some prototypes. These prototypes are inspired by drawings she has made for us in her letters. Using her ideas, we've created 15 humorous cards that we plan to produce. Our goal is to create a quality product that would bring smiles to faces of patients and families.

What your money will go toward
Using your money, and lots of our own, we will create the cards inspired by Leslie. She has some great ideas that we've already made into prototypes. We are lacking the funds to get quality materials like card stock, envelopes, printer ink, software, and a web page.
We already have a web page started:
