This is a musical about relationships, love/loss, second chances, growing up, and a renewal of values and principles.
The musical dramedy "Long Way to Midnight" has been a work-in-progress for over 4 years, during which time it has gone through many refinements, bringing it to its present form. Though it has received positive feedback from regional theatre companies such as TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, California, no one has been willing to take on the project.
Therefore, I have decided to produce it myself through this staged reading in San Diego, which will be filmed before a live audience in June, 2012.
I need your help, Funding is required for recording the music, filming the event, acquiring the theatre space, and providing salary for our director, Kate Hewitt.
