About this project
"Gray Matters: A Dark Gray Comedy" is a new web series that explores the life and mind of Leonarda Whilaminski, a young woman with severe Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder who deals with her fear of germs by turning her whole world gray. She can only wear gray, her whole apartment is gray, and color is the most alarming and difficult factor she deals with in the world.
Through this series we want to explore the mind of one with severe OCD and what she deals with on a daily basis in order to raise awareness and money for the International OCD Foundation and Bring Change 2 Mind, two organizations that focus on providing resources for those with OCD and other mental illnesses.
The series is extremely visually-driven, showing the world from Leonarda's perspective. Our goal is to create a web series that thinks outside the box and reaches audiences both young and old in an effort to shed a light on the stigma of mental illness, and help those who feel they are isolated in their struggle understand that they are not alone.
That said, a portion of all donations raised and any future profits will be donated to the International OCD Foundation and Bring Change 2 Mind.
So far, we have shot the first four episodes of the first season, and have three more to shoot to finish out the first season! The money we raise through this amazing campaign will cover insurance for the shoot, outdoor permits, equipment rental, food to feed our hard-working cast and crew and salaries for all involved.
