Thanks to your great support, we're already more than halfway to my $5,000 fundraising goal less that 48 hours after the Kickstarter page went live. It's exciting to learn that other people are excited about the same idea that inspired me.

With your help, we can guarantee that the site stays online and fund expansions that could increase the number of sites indexed, store full HTML caches in addition to flat images and offer more flexible ways of accessing the data. 

We've gotten great press coverage so far (A, B, C), but Kickstarter analytics show that the vast majority of contributions have come via social networks. If you have the chance to recommend this fundraising drive to your friends, it would be a great help. Also, if you work with a news organization and you think they would be willing to give, notice that a $250 pledge comes with my promise to begin indexing a site of the giver's choosing. If you think about it, that's a pretty good deal for a news org!
