We’re Beat Radio.  We’ve been keeping the indie rock dream alive since 2005. This year we’ve been working on a record that feels really personal and close to our hearts, and we need your help.

Music is our dream.  We're grateful everyday for the chance to write and record music, and for the chance to share it with an audience.  We’ve found a strange but joyful way to exist as artists - putting the kids to bed and recording songs in the basement, writing lyrics on the morning commute to work, self-releasing music on the internet, always burning like roman candles.  We love the process.  Pop songs still feel like miracles to us, and every song feels like a gift.

We’re restless.  We want everything for our music.  We’re dreaming bigger than ever before and we’re not going to stop until the music burns as bright as it can burn.  We’re trying to pull off something we’ve never been able to do, and it’s not something we could ever do without your support.  We’re going to break through.  We’re putting our stake in the ground.  This is the record. 

For those of you can help us out on this adventure, we’ll be eternally grateful and we’ll love you forever.  

So we’re at the point where the album is just about finished.  We've released 2 preview EPs already that you can find here and here.  Our goal now is to put this record out in most powerful way possible.  When we were kids we dreamed about “making it” in music.  Time goes by and you do this for a while, one day you just realize you are already making it.  Now you need to keep making it bigger.  This is an important record for us.  We’re pretty DIY in spirit, and we’ve done all the recording and artwork on our own.  With your help we’ll be able to have the album pressed to vinyl by United Record Pressing in Nashville.  We’ll also have the resources available to do the things we need to get the record out into the world - shipping costs and supplies to get the record not only to our supporters, but to radio stations, press, music supervisors and more.  

We’re putting together lots of fun backer rewards - vinyl, house concerts, mixtapes, collages and photo prints, t shirts, tote bags, and more.  One that I’m excited about is an exclusive alternate version of the album, which will be made up of acoustic takes of all the songs on Hard Times, Go.  This will be a digital download that will only be made available to our Kickstarter backers.

We’re totally humbled by all the love and support you’ve all put in to Beat Radio.  The music wouldn’t exist without you, and our lives wouldn’t be what they are today.  We’ve struggled and made mistakes, and we’ve paid our dues, but each step of the way has been joyful, and we’d never trade it for anything. So here’s to keeping after it.  Here’s to more teenage anthems.  To quote Marketa Irglova, “Fair play for those who dare to dream.”
