SPLIT ROCK FILMS was founded in 2010 with the assertion that our life and our dreams are to be lived out loud, in full color, all around us, and in the present moment. That our survival is dependent on putting more of our attention on beautiful and joyful things in the world. That the more we recognize ourselves in everyone, the better the world is.
IRENE WALSH is an American producer, director, actress, and samba singer based in New York City. Irene brings more than fifteen years of experience working professionally in film and on stage, both under the lights and behind the scenes. She has worked with industry leaders such as Sigourney Weaver, Susan Sarandon, Tim Robbins, Gloria Reuben, Bill Irwin, Terrence Mann among many others. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild and Actors' Equity Association.
VICTOR AVILA (director of photography) was born in Colombia and is based in Los Angeles. Victor has amassed more than ten years of experience in Colombian and U.S. productions that also include commercials, documentaries, music videos, short films and TV shows. He has worked with Spike Lee, Jennifer Lopez, Michael "Magic" Johnson, Enrique Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, and Ricky Martin, among others.
PEDRO ASBEG (editor) is London-born Brazilian who graduated in film studies from the Westminster University in London. He has edited, directed, and produced more than 30 short-film documentaries. He has worked in New York, London and Rio de Janeiro. He has worked on a number of films that have been selected for festivals, including "Citizen Boilesen", screened in more than 15 countries around the world and won the prestigious "It's all true" International Documentary Film Festival main award. At the moment, he is editing the fifth feature-length documentary of his career. He is also finishing his first feature-length documentary as a director.
