I can't believe I found this. I do this in my spare time. I love the feeling of receiving mail and I jump in glee at the thought of other people receiving mail. I have already sent to the UK, Spain, France, Moldova, El Salvador, Argentina, Japan, India, Chile, and a few more. I love you guys already, keep up the writing!

Great, great great. I've a somewhat similar mystery project called the Hipstery - http://hipstery.com/ keep up the good word, your letters really surprise and entertain in a world fast losing all its mystery.

Great idea! We live in a world where we filter our surprises, where we ignore strange information, were a lot of people never NEVER received or have written a letter. I love to be surprised and think that this small elements can change a people, open up an opportunity to reflect about something new he did not searched for our expected.

      Great idea, keep going, always!

P.S: I receive from TED regularly a surprise box with books. I know that I will receive one, but I do not know when and which books, games, CDs. Each time when I hold the box in my hands, I am back in my childhood, opening up, waiting to see the surprises. We have lost this feeling, therefore again: keep going.

Happy to support 2 creative people, one of which we're getting to know well...We think we've met the robot but aren't sure....No seizures here. We feel that "people to people" projects like these are just the kind of artistic endeavors we should all be supporting. The movie intro. to the project, by itself, was worth our pledge! Thanks for letting us be a part of your work, and good luck with meeting your goal! Love, M&M

Hi everyone. Thank-you for all your wonderful pledges, and supportive messages! Amazing. We're already sharpening pencils, and putting loose sheets of paper into piles and so on. Please feel free to pass this on to uncles and neighbours who might still need treasure maps and haiku letters.

      Thank-you so much!

Hi Jerry in particular, what a good question! The way to do it is to start a second (third, etc) kickstarter account then you can pledge twice and get two rewards! Thanks for asking. Wonder which two you fancy?

      love, Lenka & Michael

This is pretty much the best thing I've ever encountered, and I'm excited to lend what meager financial support I can. I love sending mail, especially to strangers: I'm an avid postcrosser. If you don't know what that is, you should! www.postcrossing.com

Thanks for the lovely comments and backings (is backings a word?) dudes* and dudettes* ! We've got an amazing amount of pledges but are still flirting with the bottom of the mountain. 'Tis a fine bottom though. Picturesque. Still, do spread the word!

      Love,

      Lenka and Michael.

      * Note: If you'd rather not be refered to as a dude or a dudette then here a few alternatives for you to press your inky thumb against:

      Ladies and Germs.
      Pals and Gals.
      Hairs and Hymns.
      Saints and ain'ts.

p.s. Do excuse the quality of this post.

Michael is a writer and an artist. His writing, mostly short fiction, combines deadpan wit with absurd sentimentality. In recent stories he noticed your bank statement slowly appearing as the sunrise, combined all Chinatowns to make a second actual China and suggested that Jupiter rotates in the opposite direction every time you say nah.

Lenka is an artist and documentary maker. Her work investigates the poetry of labour expended toward an epic, utopian, often impossible task. In recent projects she searched for and photographed the 613 people mentioned in a German newspaper, hand-numbered 7000 stones, filmed one person of each age from 1 – 100, and re-organised the 4100 words of President Bush’s Axis of Evil speech into alphabetical order.

Michael & Lenka are currently writing a hand-written letter to every household in the world (with your help!).
