We need help!
We're sending letters to everyone in the world, one town at a time. The letters all arrive on the same day, just like a huge dollop of fresh cream blobbed on the whole town. These cheerful handwritten letters prompt chats around neighborhoods and whip up all sorts of community curiosity and giggling confusion.
Thanks to the gorgeous, well dressed people (nice socks) who pledged on here last time we have now reached 2 towns and have sent over 1000 different letters in all. It felt like a lot to us, but we still have 6,825,898,913 letters to write. Outrageous. People keep giving birth too (congratulations).
How can we complete this Herculean task? We don't know. But! With your help we feel like we can do anything-ish.
This time we're looking to raise $2000 to travel to a new and unlikely location and set ink to paper. Of course we have to send the letters too, which is our biggest expense. Until now we've had to limit our letter writing to 620, the most we can do in two weeks without dying, but with this new appeal we can write to hundreds and hundreds more people, longer letters, further travels, whole cities, etc. We do have some great plans, but we really need you to join in. Please do!

Michael is a writer and an artist. His writing, mostly short fiction, combines deadpan wit with absurd sentimentality. In recent stories he noticed your bank statement slowly appearing as the sunrise, combined all Chinatowns to make a second actual China and suggested that Jupiter rotates in the opposite direction every time you say nah.
Lenka is an artist and documentary maker. Her work investigates the poetry of labour expended toward an epic, utopian, often impossible task. In recent projects she searched for and photographed the 613 people mentioned in a German newspaper, hand-numbered 7000 stones, filmed one person of each age from 1 – 100, and re-organised the 4100 words of President Bush’s Axis of Evil speech into alphabetical order.
Michael & Lenka are currently writing a hand-written letter to every household in the world (with your help!).
