If the Angels could tell us their story, what would they say?

Origins of The Asheer Project

I began working on The Asheer Project ten years ago as a hobby while taking classes at the Harvard Divinity School. Writing provided me with a way to grapple with the questions I was trying to answer through my academic pursuits, it also allowed me to tap into my more creative side. Overtime what started as a catharsis quickly turned into something much more meaningful, and The Asheer Project was born.

Ten years, 85,000 words, and one 56,000 word complete manuscript later, I am ready to present a complex paranormal saga that uses a sophisticated fusion of ancient Hebrew legends, and world mythologies, to challenge our perceptions of good versus evil, to the literary world.

The Adversary Saga

Book One: Betrayal

Asheer is the Archangel of war, and master of the legions of a world called Avalon. She has witnessed the beginning of time, and the progression of humanity. She has watched empires rise and fall, seen great men and women come into existence who have burned as brightly as the morning star, only to disappear without a trace from recorded history, and she has witnessed things in her world that the mortal world with all its wonders, could never fathom.

Betrayal begins with a brutal murder in Paris. From there, Asheer breaks all the rules of her kind to reveal the secrets of a world where the past is absolute, and everyone must play their part in the on-going struggle for supremacy between the gods. Through Asheer’s eyes, we see that in Avalon, betrayal is sometimes necessary for survival, loyalty is a relative term, and love comes at a very high price. We also learn that when the gods are involved, revenge starts with murder, and ends with a sinister plot to resurrect the one known as the Adversary.

Why should you fund Betrayal?

Book one is only the beginning… The Adversary Saga has been a ten-year journey towards producing a viable, publishable, and above all a successful novel series. As of today The Adversary Saga includes a second book entitled Missing that is already underway, along with multiple novel length side stories that are all set in Asheer’s intriguing world.

What am I paying for?

  • To bring Betrayal to life I need 3 things.
  • An editor with a proven track record.
  • Professional artwork.
  • A strategic marketing plan outlined and implemented by a professional marketing consultant.

By funding this project you will allow me to reach these goals and much more.

I look forward to finally being able to share Asheer’s world with you.

Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter

Potential challenges include editing, I have an editor lined up to work on the project once it is funded. Marketing is another challenge, that I am prepared to overcome. The final challenge will be engaging the right artist to provide the artwork for such a complex and meaningful project.
